Facebook users has
erupted over the
Ramadan stand
up comedy show
100 Mesa, starring
the Jordanian
actress/singer
Mais Hemdan.
Egyptian satellite
and domestic
channels aired
the controversial
series which upset
viewers with its
comic portrayal of
Egyptian characters.
Nerves were
especially rattled
as Mais alluded to
Egyptian women
being incapable
of raising their
own children.

Ahmed El Sakka
has begun
preparations for
his new movie El
Maslaha, written
and produced by
Wael Abdullah
and directed by
Sandra Nashaat.
Ahmed portrays
a central security
officer blurring the
lines between his
brutal work persona
and his extremely
romantic private
life and the contrast
adds an edge to the
character. Sandra
is casting the
rest of the film.
